From time to time, kind owners of Provincial wagons send me photos of them in use. Here are a few examples.
A train of Provincial Wagons at Cookstown Jct during clearance trials
As you can see above, Ken Gillen very kindly tested my new GNR(I) brake van on his wonderful Cookstown Junction layout last week. I quote the Inspector's Report - "Ran the van all afternoon to-day. No problems at all!!! Platform clearance was not an issue even though my clearances are pretty tight. It also went through various overbridges/tunnels without any difficulty. Ran the van forwards and backwards over points, diamond and slip. No issues. It runs well both at slow speed and at a scale 100mph!!"

Provincial wagons hauled by an NCC mogul on the Derry Road? Actually, they are on Maurice Fenton's layout in NEW ZEALAND!
The first three Provincial wagons help to make-up a goods train behind a BCDR 0-6-0, seen crossing a train of BCDR six-wheelers hauled by a 4-4-2 tank. Courtesy Colm Flanagan, the builder!
Patrick Davey was particularly happy to have some BCDR stock for his original model of Ballynahinch Junction on the BCDR main line. Now, he has updated the layout and I'll add photos soon.
Some shunting going on behind the engine shed at Cookstown Jct on Ken Gillen's superb layout. Two of Colm Flanagan's Class WTs share the scene with six of my wagons. In fact, the recent BCDR open sits outisde the loco shed! I expect he'll send me a new photo when he gets my UTA open! By the way, the pristine cement vans have since been mercilessly weathered!
This layout was featured in the July 2009 Railway Modeller.
